There is a lot of confusion surrounding our field. I want to give you 6 criteria or elements you absolutely, positively must have in any solution you obtain:

  1. When working with a trainer make sure the education and certification is specific to your needs and goals. Look for a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist "CSCS Certification". NASM, ACSM, and ACE are also reputable companies.
  2. Look for at least a decade of experience training clients.
  3. Look for at least 5 years experience training at a top nationwide facility.
  4. Make sure the trainer has Personal Training Insurance.
  5. An experienced trainer should offer either in home or in studio sessions for your convenience.
  6. Make sure your trainer is full time in their field with an exercise and fitness degree from an accredited university.
